HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) - WAVY News' Liz Palka and Lauren Compton reported from the Virginia Peninsula during severe weather Thursday.
Palka covered the Williamsburg and James City County areas during a severe thunderstorm warning, and Compton was in Hampton and James City County during the same warning.
Most of the reported damage on the Peninsula was due to fallen trees on homes and mobile homes.
Camden County Sheriff Tony Perry said that during the last two weeks, incidents of breaking and entering and home or vehicle larceny have increased in two areas of the county.
