SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Relatives cleaning the garage of a deceased family member discovered a hand grenade Saturday afternoon.
Suffolk spokeswoman Debbie George said explosive experts who responded to the scene determined the grenade was a harmless training devise.
George said relatives found the training grenade about 2:47 p.m. in the 100 block of Maury Place. Police, firefighters and the Virginia State Police Bomb Squad agent responded to the call.
