PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - A preteen fell from a second floor landing in Portsmouth Monday.
Mike Stockton with the Portsmouth Fire Department told WAVY.com the child fell seven feet in the 600 block of Jefferson Street.
Stockton said the child landed on the wooden stairs and was transported to Maryview Medical Center for treatment of injuries. The extent of those injuries is unknown at this time.
Further information surrounding the child's fall was not immediately available.
