PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Detectives are investigating a body that was found Saturday afternoon, according to Misty Holley with the Portsmouth Police Department.
Police received a call around 4:44 p.m. about an unresponsive male in the grassy area located in the 2600 block of London Boulevard. Holley said the male was sitting in front of a fence adjacent to the intersection of Broad Street and London Boulevard.
Officers responded to the scene and found an adult male slumped over and unresponsive. Holley said he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives have identified the man, but they are not releasing his name at this point.
Holley said there were no visible signs of foul play. The man’s body is being taken to the Norfolk Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
