PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Portsmouth police have identified the victim of an October 25 homicide.
Officers found 27-year-old Barry Donald Timberlake in the backyard of a home in the 1200 block of Portsmouth Boulevard at 4:53 p.m. Police spokeswoman Jan Westerbeck said Timberlake was pronounced dead at 5:06 p.m.
Police roped off the entire block of Hoover Street that connects with Elm Avenue.
Timberlake, of the 2100 block of Pearl Street in Portsmouth, suffered a gunshot wound to his upper body.
