PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - An 88-year-old man who was reported missing in Portsmouth Thursday was found safe early Saturday morning in West Virginia.
According to a press release from Portsmouth police, citizens who unaware he was missing, saw Robert Casey wandering in a McDonalds' parking lot and called local authorities.
Casey was taken to a hospital to be examined and was reunited with his family Saturday morning, according to police.
Robert Casey was reported missing on August 1 after his son returned home from work and Casey was not there.
Police told WAVY.com that Casey suffers from several medical conditions which included memory loss and confusion.
Casey's son told police that his father had talked about going to West Virginia in the days before he went missing.
