PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Chief Mike Stockton with the Portsmouth Fire Department said firefighters responded to a residential fire Monday around 3 p.m.
When firefighters arrived at the single-family residence in the 3700 block of High Street, they found heavy fire damage.
Stockton said the fire was under control as of 4:45 p.m. and no one was injured. The home’s occupant left the house after heavy fire involvement.
A cause for the fire has not yet been determined.
