PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Police found an 89-year-old Portsmouth man with Alzheimer's Disease who went missing Saturday morning unharmed in the Cavalier Manor section of the city.
According to police, Abraham Smith was found unharmed on Warfield Road around 1:15 p.m.
Smith was reported missing after his family woke up Saturday around 6:30 a.m. and could not find him at his Vaughn Court home.
Police said Smith needs constant supervision due to his condition.
Officials now say a train derailment in Southampton County in September was caused by some sort of vandalism.
