SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A police cruiser was involved in an accident in Suffolk Wednesday afternoon.
According to police spokeswoman Diana Klink, the accident occurred shortly before 2 pm. in front of Johnson's Garden, in the 3200 block of Route 58, which is also Holland Road.
Klink said investigators determined the other vehicle, a Chevrolet pickup truck, was at fault.
The driver of the pickup truck and the 80-year-old passenger were both transported to Sentara Obici Hospital, complaining of back pain.
The officer was on duty at the time of the accident. He received minor injuries and did not require treatment.
This is the same area where 16-year-old James Normile, V was killed when the vehicle his father was driving overturned.
