NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Fire crews rescued a woman from the water near the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club Thursday morning.
Around 8 a.m., crews with Norfolk Fire Rescue and the Norfolk Police Department responded to a report of a person in the water in distress in the 7000 block of Hampton Boulevard.
Upon arrival, a woman in her 20s was found conscious in the water, Battalion Chief Julian Williamson with Norfolk Fire Rescue said. The woman was pulled to safety and did not sustain any life-threatening injuries.
The woman was treated at the scene and then transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Her condition is unknown.
