NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Two young children likely have no memory of the dangerous ride they took.
Police received a call just after midnight on Sept. 20 from a woman who said her vehicle was stolen from the 2300 block of Courtney Avenue in Norfolk. The mother of two, ages 4 and 7, left her children asleep in the back of the vehicle while she ran inside her home to grab some things, according to police spokeswoman Karen Parker-Chesson. When she came back outside, the vehicle, and her children, were gone.
Police recovered the parked vehicle in the 2700 block of Barraud Avenue with both children still sleeping inside.
The investigation is ongoing. There are no charges at this time.
