NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A Norfolk councilman has scheduled a town hall-style meeting on the proposed hotel and conference center in downtown Norfolk.
Last month, Norfolk Mayor Paul Fraim announced the City of Norfolk and Gold Key/PHR Hotels & Resorts agreed to build a facility at the corner of Main Street and Granby Street.
Lori Crouch with the City of Norfolk said the agreement means a luxury 300 bed hotel, 50,000 square foot conference center and 600 space parking facility.
Monday's meeting, organized by Norfolk Councilman Tommy Smiegel will be held starting at 7 p.m . at the new Crossroads Community Center, 8021 Old Ocean View Rd.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation said work to secure the Bonner Bridge could take anywhere from a week to 90 days.
