NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Three men have been arrested following a deadly shooting earlier this month.
On Sept. 15 , police were called to the 600 block of West 29th Street in reference to a gunshot victim. Officers found 38-year-old Maurice Mitchell inside his apartment at that location, according to Chris Amos with the Norfolk Police Department.
Mitchell was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, but later died.
Amos said investigators secured warrants for three suspects on Sept. 18. All three were wanted for murder, robbery, use of a firearm, and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Marvin Gay Simmons, 18, Travis Kashaun Brown, and Arthur Howard II, 19, were arrested. Amos said the motive for the shooting has been determined to be robbery.
