NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A vehicle crashed involving a scooter caused serious injuries Saturday in Norfolk.
Chris Amos with the Norfolk Police Department told WAVY.com that officers responded to a vehicle crash in the 1300 block of Brambleton Avenue around 5:40 p.m.
The crash involved a vehicle and a man driving a scooter. The scooter's driver seemed to be traveling east on Brambleton and attempted a left turn onto Reservoir Avenue when he hit the back end of a car going west on Brambleton, according to Amos.
Amos said that the scooter's driver received life-threatening injuries, and that the fatal crash team was called to the scene of the crash to investigate.
The victim was still in critical condition at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital as of 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
