NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Norfolk firefighters were called to a fire along Kirby Crescent early Monday morning.
Capt. Mike Hicks with Norfolk Fire and Rescue said the fire sparked around 6 a.m. in the 7000 block of Kirby Crescent off of Thole Street.
When crews arrived on scene, they found heavy smoke coming from the building. The fire was reported to be under control before 7 a.m. and there were no injuries.
Hicks said the residents awoke to find fire. Crews believe the fire started in the sunroom of the two-story home and spread to the interior.
