NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Norfolk fire crews performed a technical rescue Friday morning during construction of Norfolk's new library.
The rescue occurred around 10:30 a.m. in the 100 block of East Plume Street, Battalion Chief Julian Williamson with Norfolk Fire and Rescue said. A 53-year-old man had a medical emergency on the fifth floor.
Crews used a stokes basket to make the rescue. The man was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
