NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Norfolk Police have identified the pedestrian who was killed following a crash Wednesday morning.
Karen Parker-Chesson with the Norfolk Police Department said the crash occurred near Park Avenue and Brambleton Avenue around 8:20 a.m.
Parker-Chesson said Ronald James Kroeger was struck by a vehicle and was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries. Kroeger was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
Parker-Chesson said the investigation is ongoing.
