NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Norfolk police ticketed a driver Thursday afternoon after he caused a vehicle collision involving a school bus.
At about 2:15 p.m., Norfolk dispatchers got a call about a vehicle crash involving a Norfolk City school bus, according to Sgt. Major Jeff Garris with Norfolk Police.
Elizabeth Mather with Norfolk Public Schools said bus 189 had left Norview High School and was traveling north on Sewells Point Road when a car pulled out in front of the bus from Avenue H. The two vehicles collided.
24 students were aboard the bus at the time of the crash, but no injuries were reported and no one was transported.
Garris said the driver of the car was cited due to failure to yield to right-away.
Charges have been made in a domestic abuse investigation involving a 74-year-old woman in Elizabeth City.
