NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Investigators are trying to determine what caused a car fire at a Norfolk parking garage Monday.
The fire was reported at 11:30 a.m. at the City Hall South parking garage behind the court complex.
According to Battalion Chief Julian Williamson, one vehicle received major damage and several others had heat damage. There was also some smoke damage to the first floor of the garage.
No injuries were reported.
The fire did not restrict traffic on City Hall Avenue, but traffic was restricted in and out of the garage while firefighters were on scene.
A Suffolk man told police an HVAC system weighing about three tons was stolen from his property sometime last week.
A Newport News mother was arrested in York County for drug charges while she was with her children, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office.
