NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Detectives are looking for a bank robbery suspect who they think has struck at least twice.
The Bayport Credit Union on Warwick Boulevard in Newport News was robbed last Thursday. Detectives say the suspect walked up to the teller and passed a note.
Police say the description closely resembles the person who knocked off the Hiden Boulevard SunTrust Bank two days earlier.
"We really need the public's help with this one. This gentleman has targeted the same community twice within a week. The incidents were just over a half mile apart, he's hit two separate banks. We need him off the streets as soon as we can," said Det. Allison Erickson with the Newport News Police Department.
