According to Holly McPherson with the Newport News Police Department, officers were called to a residence on a report of a domestic situation. It happened around 7:55 a.m. at a home in the 5900 block of Marshall Avenue.
Officers spoke with a man, identified as 31-year-old Robert Rosenbleeth, outside the home. McPherson said a woman came out onto the porch, and both parties started yelling at each other.
While officers tried to calm the situation, police said Rosenbleeth continued yelling and threatened to “burn the shed down.”
Officers took Rosenbleeth into custody. He was charged with one count of felony threat to bomb or burn.
