NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Attorneys representing Michael Vick in his federal bankruptcycase in Virginia say the imprisoned NFL quarterback expects toreturn to football.
In a disclosure statement filed before a hearing Thursday inU.S. Bankruptcy Court, the attorneys wrote that Vick "has everyreason to believe" he will be reinstated by the NFL once hecompletes a 23-month sentence for a dogfighting conviction.
While Vick still has a contract with the Atlanta Falcons, NFLCommissioner Roger Goodell would have the final say on his return.
The attorneys also lay out a plan for Vick to pay hiscreditors based on his expected NFL earnings and possible signingbonuses.
Vick was ordered to be present at two future court hearings.
