NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - A 22-year-old member of the Dump Squad gang was sentencedThursday to 90 months in prison for being an accessory after thefact to murder.
Tina Whalen of Newport News pleaded guilty in June in connectionwith the 2006 death of Terrell Williams.
Court documents reveal that Whalen harbored and gave aid tocriminal, preventing police from arresting him. The criminal was amember of the Dump Squad, a criminal street gang that grew from anational gang known as the Bloods and operated in the RidleyCircle, Harbor Homes and Disckerson Court areas of Newport News,Va.
