WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) - James City County police are investigating a possible shooting in a Williamsburg neighborhood, about two miles from William & Mary’s campus.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Druid Drive around 1 a.m. Saturday for a report of a loud party and possible gunshots fired, according to Major Steve Rubino with the James City County Police Department. Major Rubino said officers arrived and found no evidence of any shots fired at the location.
Then, around 11 a.m., neighbors called police to report empty shell casings found nearby. Officers returned to the scene and found shell casings and blood on the street, as well as on a parked vehicle.
Major Rubino said they have no reports of a gunshot victim at any of the local hospitals.
