HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - A Hampton church gave away 1,600 boxes of food to provide Easter meals for needy families.
Liberty Baptist Church volunteers handed out the food after Saturday's services. They say the annual event spreads the spirit of giving during the Easter season.
Cars were lined up outside the church and recipients say they were grateful for the donations.
Next, year the church hopes to feed enough people to top this year's totals.
