CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Captain Scott Saunders with the Chesapeake Fire Department told WAVY.com that two adults were displaced by a house fire in the Deep Creek.
A little before 8 p.m., firefighters responded to the 900 block of Bowden Avenue for a one-story house fire.
The fire was brought under control in less than ten minutes, but the house was substantially damaged. The residents of the home received no injuries.
Saunders said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Norfolk Police are investigating the cause of death for male found unconscious on the beach.
Several local families could be out on the streets by the new year, if things don't improve at a Chesapeake shelter.
