CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Chesapeake Police are searching for a suspect in the homicide investigation of a man found shot to death early Sunday morning.
22-year-old Laquan Wright of the 2800 block of Parkside Drive is wanted by investigators for first degree murder in connection to the homicide of Torrey Smith, according to Kelly O'Sullivan with Chesapeake Police.
Officers responded to the 2800 block of of Parkside Drive around 5:50 a.m. Sunday for reports of an injured person. When they arrived at the scene, officers found 29-year-old Torrey Smith, of Virginia Beach, dead from a gunshot wound.
Police have not released any details on the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
