CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Two people were injured after a man fired several shots into a car near the intersection of Providence Road and Campostella Road Sunday morning.
According to a press release from Chesapeake police, a group of people got into an altercation around 2:20 a.m. in the 2000 block of Candlelight Drive, near Military Highway.
Police say five people left the area in a car and were followed by at least one other person who was involved in the altercation, who fired several gunshots into the other vehicle.
Two of the five people were struck by the gunfire and were taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police describe the suspects as black males who were possibly driving a silver two-door Acura.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have information on the shooting to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
