CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A man was arrested early Saturday morning after another man was found shot in the head on Plow Lane in the South Norfolk section of Chesapeake.
Police responded to the 2000 block of Plow Lane around 2:20 a.m. for reports of an injured person in the area and when they arrived on the scene they found a 29-year-old man lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was taken to Norfolk Sentara Hospital with serious injuries but was conscious and talking to medics when he was transported, according to a press release from Chesapeake police.
Around 8 a.m. Saturday morning police arrested Clifton Cuffee, 25, of the 2500 block of Malcom Court in connection with the shooting. He was charged with malicious wounding and possession of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Norfolk Police are investigating the cause of death for male found unconscious on the beach.
