CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A man and woman were stabbed in a mobile home in Chesapeake Friday night.
Kelly O'Sullivan with the Chesapeake Police Department told WAVY.com police responded to a call for an attempted abduction in the 1400 block of Deep Creek Boulevard around 8 p.m.
O'Sullivan said a man entered a mobile home and tried to abduct a woman inside. Another man was inside the mobile home with the woman and attacked the intruding man, which led to both the man and woman who lived in the trailer being cut by an "unknown cutting device," according to O'Sullivan.
The man and woman were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The intruder fled the scene on foot, but police took him into custody shortly after the incident.
Police charged Quashawn Vaughan, 19, of Victory Village in Portsmouth with two counts of abduction, two counts of malicious wounding, one count of strangulation and one count of rape. He is being held at Chesapeake City Jail without bond.
WAVY.com spoke with a nearby resident who witnessed a man run down Deep Creek Boulevard and toss a pair of bloody scissors in her yard.
"It is kind of scary when you are eye-to-eye with a gentleman that just did something," said nearby resident Michelle. "It does kind of put that thought in your head, was it him? What if it wasn't him? But it was him."
Norfolk Police are investigating the cause of death for male found unconscious on the beach.
