CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - An 8-year-old boy is recovering after he was hit by a car in Chesapeake Saturday night.
Kelly O'Sullivan with the Chesapeake Police Department told WAVY.com incident occurred near Campostella Road and Arbor Glen Drive around 9:30 p.m. The boy broke free from his grandfather and ran across the road, where he was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound on Campostella.
The boy was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with a leg injury.
The driver was not at fault.
