VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A 25-year-old Virginia Beach man is accused of shooting his wife to death Sunday afternoon.
Grazia Moyers with the Virginia Beach Police Department said officers received a call for a possible suspicious death in the 1400 block of Cape Ann Way around 4:45 p.m. When they arrived, they located a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as Mattiele Romer, 23.
Her husband, Kendal Jeream Romer, has been charged with first degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a crime. Romer is being held at the Virginia Beach Correctional Center.
