PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Two Portsmouth residents were found dead in their home June 6 from what Portsmouth Police are calling a homicide/suicide.
At 11:13 a.m., police were called to the residence on Sarazen Drive by a postal worker who found a note in the mailbox with instructions to walk to the garage door. There, a note further instructed the postal worker to enter the house with a code for a keypad to enter the house. The postal worker then called the police.
When police arrived, they found Alfred Cadreau, age 86, and Mary Cadreau, 95, in a rear bedroom. The married couple was deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
