VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Police are warning residents of a phone scam targeting senior citizens.
According to Grazia Moyers with the Virginia Beach Police Department, suspects with thick foreign accents have been contacting senior citizens, claiming they are sending out new Medicare cards.
The suspects are aiming to get bank account information and Moyers said the victims have not fallen for the scam.
