VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Police are investigating a Monday afternoon bank robbery at a Virginia Beach Wells Fargo.
According to Grazia Moyers with the Virginia Beach Police Department, the robbery was called in just before 5 p.m. at 5284 Providence Rd. A man armed with a handgun entered the bank, approached the tellers and demanded money.
The suspect was able to flee the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
He has been described as a black male in his early 20s standing 5'7" to 5'9" and wearing a dark jacket and dark pants at the time of the robbery. He was also wearing gray shorts under his pants, which were visible as the suspect ran away.
