HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Hampton Police are searching for a male suspect who robbed a Mega Mart Thursday night.
Sgt. Jason Price with the Hampton Police Division said officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of Kecoughtan Road for a report of a robbery at the Mega Mart.
They learned a suspect entered the store and brandished a firearm, demanding money. He fled on foot after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen running westbound on Kecoughtan Road toward LaSalle Avenue.
The suspect is described as a black male standing 5’8” to 5’10” and weighing 160 to 170 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants at the time of the robbery.

Camden County Sheriff Tony Perry said that during the last two weeks, incidents of breaking and entering and home or vehicle larceny have increased in two areas of the county.
