NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Police say an arrest has been made in connection with the Thursday evening shooting death of a Norfolk man.
According to Karen Parker-Chesson with the Norfolk Police Department, police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Colon Avenue shortly after 9:30 p.m. Thursday for a male gunshot victim.
Parker-Chesson says the victim has been identified as 26-year-old Eustace Alexander Stevenson of the 500 block of W. 34th Street.
Chris Amos, also with the Norfolk Police Department, says 29-year-old Hussain Abdus-Salaam of Norfolk has been arrested and charged with murder and use of a firearm. Amos says Abdus-Salaam was arrested without incident Friday.
