NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Newport News Police are asking for help to locate a vehicle stolen during a carjacking on April 25.
Harold Eley with the Newport News Police Department said the incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Maple Avenue. A woman reported two men forced her from her car and drove off in it.
The victim told police she and a friend were parked in the vehicle when her friend got out and walked into a yard. She said two black males described as tall and skinny wearing dark clothing approaching her.
Both suspects were warring black bandanas over their faces and pointed handguns at her, the victim said. She added she was pushed to the ground.
The stolen vehicle is a white Nissan Maxima with a Virginia tag of WUZ-3658. Anyone with information on the vehicle or the suspects is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
Charges have been made in a domestic abuse investigation involving a 74-year-old woman in Elizabeth City.
