NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - A Newport News mother was arrested Tuesday for threatening to bomb her child's middle school.
According to Holly McPherson with the Newport News Police Department, 32-year-old Latasha Lassiter Dennis of the 900 block of Charlotte Drive was arrested Tuesday morning at her place of employment.
McPherson said Dennis contacted Hines Middle School Monday at 3:42 p.m., wanting to speak with a specific female teacher. After Dennis was told the woman was unavailable, Dennis threatened to blow the school up.
