CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A Chesapeake woman facing more than two dozen felony charges in a child pornography investigation involving her own young children appeared in court Wednesday.
Kelly O'Sullivan with the Chesapeake Police Department said officers arrested Kanelaeen Latouche, 22, Friday. Latouche has been charged with 30 felonies including indecent liberties with a minor, production/possession/distribution of child pornography, forcible sodomy and sexual battery.
According to police, the investigation involved Latouche's 2-year-old and 3-year-old children.
In court Wednesday morning, a judge set Latouche's bond hearing for Friday. He preliminary hearing was set for early December.
10 On Your Side spoke with the Latouche's mother as she was leaving court.
"I don't believe that my daughter did what's been accused of her," she said. "She loves her children. She was living with me at the time. And my daughter loves her kids."
