NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - A woman called police from the lobby of the Newport News Sheriff's Office and said she was being held against her will by a man who shot at her with a BB gun.
Officers arrived at the Magistrate's Office on 26th Street the afternoon of July 3 and located the woman, who was still on the phone with police.
Jamal Gray was taken into custody. He was carrying a BB gun at the time, according to police spokesman Harold Eley.
Gray was taken before the Magistrate where warrants were issued for discharging a firearm in city limits, abduction, use of a firearm while attempting to commit malicious wounding, using a firearm while committing abduction, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted weapon.
