VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A 31-year-old masseur has been arrested after a client reported she was touched inappropriately.
According to Grazia Moyers with the Virginia Beach Police Department, the victim told police she went to Serenity Wellness and Day Spa located at 5265 Providence Road on April 13 for a massage. When the massage was over, the victim said Seneca "Nick" Wayne Herington of Virginia Beach touched her inappropriately.
The incident wasn't reported until April 16, Moyers said. Herington was arrested and charged with misdemeanor sexual battery.
"Sometimes it's difficult to know what really went on. Of course it's inappropriate if that really happened... it would be inappropriate against their ethics, their certification, things like that," client Hope Damon said.
Moyers added investigators are looking for other potential victims. Anyone who may have had contact with Herington is asked to call Virginia Beach Police at 757-385-4101.
Attempts to contact Herington at his home and workplace Tuesday were unsuccessful.
