NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Vans are disappearing from churches in Newport News.
During August and September, police are reporting three vans have been stolen or targeted for theft from churches in the South Precinct.
According to police spokesman Harold Eley, the Ford Econoline 350 full-sized van is the most popular model.
Police are asking the public, church communities and van owners to make sure the vans are locked for the day and that all high value items are removed or concealed from view.
