VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Two men were arrested after police say they robbed four people in a vehicle in the Lynnhaven Mall parking lot.
On November 3, two male suspects walking in the parking lot near JC Penney flagged down a car with four people in it around 8 p.m.
Police said the driver stopped when the men asked for a cigarette. The men immediately opened the back doors of the vehicle, produced handguns, and robbed the occupants of their cell phones and money. The suspects then ran from the scene.
The victims followed the suspects toward Lynnhaven Parkway when one of the suspects fired two shots at the victim's vehicle and kept running. The driver flagged down an officer and told the officer they were just robbed.
The officer broadcast the suspects' description and direction of travel.
Responding officers quickly apprehended the robbers and recovered the victims' property.
No one was hurt.
