VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach Police arrested two suspects in connection with three recent 7-Eleven robberies that took place between June 24 and July 24.
Police say in each of the robberies, a suspect entered the stores after midnight with a weapon, demanding money before running away.
According to police, the 7-Eleven at 3011 Silina Drive was robbed on June 24. Then, on July 23, the 7-Eleven at 4961 Euclid Road was robbed. Police say the third 7-Eleven, located at 200 Aragona Boulevard, was robbed on July 24.
Anthony Wayne Prather, 25, of the 4200 block of Thalia Forest Lane, was charged by police with three counts of Robbery, Three counts Use of a Firearm, Two counts of Conspiracy, and Driving on Suspended/revoked License.
Marlena Rae Wielechowski, 20, of the 5000 block of La Ray Drive, was charged by police with two counts of Robbery, two counts of Conspiracy.
Prather and Wielechowski are being held without bond in the Virginia Beach Correctional Facility. This case remains under investigation.
