PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Up until a few years ago, he was known as the tallest man in the U.S. by the Guinness Book of World Records. He was surpassed by a third of an inch, but that hasn't stopped Portsmouth native, George Bell from turning heads wherever he goes.
He may be tall, but his heart big and that's what made him this week's I Am Hampton Roads. George Bell is no stranger to television. You can catch him on AMC's Freakshow which airs Thursday's at 9:30 p.m.
He lives in Portsmouth and works at the Norfolk City Jail.
