SAN MATEO, Calif. (CNN/KGO) - A cat burglar is on the loose in northern California.
Dusty the cat is your typical house pet by day, but when the sun goes down, he hits the streets.
Over the past three years, he has stolen about 600 items from the neighborhood and brought them home to his owners.
Neighbors know all about Dusty and have nicknamed him "Klepto the Cat."
No one plans to file police reports because they know where to go to get their stolen items back.
