HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Holyoke Police have arrested a man for hiding thousands of dollars of cocaine in a package of bologna in the mail.
Thirty-year-old Juan Rodriguez of Holyoke was arrested Thursday for allegedly trafficking a kilogram of cocaine worth $100,000.
Bail for Rodriguez was set at $250,000.
Police say that this isn't the first time a similar mail package was delivered to Rodriguez's house. According to postal records, similar packages were also mailed from Puerto Rico to Rodriguez in May and July of this year.
Chief Anthony Scott told 22News Rodriguez is a career criminal that was convicted of assault and battery and threatening to murder in 2008.
