VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Nine senior citizens from the Atlantic Shores Retirement Community in Virginia Beach shed their clothes on Tuesday for a "Nearly Nude" calendar shoot.

The men, ranging in age from 60 to 90-years-old, posed as the "Pin-Up Boys of Atlantic Shores" for the 2010 calendar, which will be sold to benefit the Princess Anne Courthouse Volunteer Rescue Squad.

Men like retired Naval officer Mike Ferguson took part in the event. Ferguson, 70, is a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician in Sandbridge and he's a pastor at the Church of the Holy Apostles in Virginia Beach.

"I'm going to do, hopefully, whatever's asked of me...within limits," Ferguson told fox43tv.com, sitting in a bathrobe as make-up was applied to his face. "It's for a good cause."

Members of the rescue squad are grateful for what they can buy with the proceeds.

"There's always a big need. The rescue squads are all volunteer," said Richard Otto of the Princess Anne Courthouse Volunteer Rescue Squad. "The city provides us with fuel and insurance, but we pay out of pocket, through our donations in the community, [for] the ambulance and all the equipment onboard."

78-year-old Paul Yocher was at Tuesday's shoot to support his pin-up pals. He had his almost naked picture taken Monday and said it was great.

"Good working environment, a lot of fun, and great models," said Yocher.

And while Pastor Ferguson had a big smile on his face before the shoot, we wanted to know what his church would say when they saw the calendar.

"I think they'll be okay with it. Most of them will be okay," Ferguson laughed. "Those who [aren't], well, we'll just have to see what happens."

And whatever happens the "Pin-Up Boys" only hope their calendar gets pinned up on every wall in Virginia Beach.

"The Pin-Up Boys of Atlantic Shores" will be available for purchase in early September 2009. For more information on where or how to purchase the calendar click here or call 757-426-0000 or toll-free (800) 821-2774.
