SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. (CNN/WABC) - Superstorm Sandy did a number on this Jersey Shore amusement pier, to say the least.

You're looking at Seaside Park.

Half of the iconic amusement pier was washed out, and amusement rides are in the ocean now.

Photos: Sandy's damage in N.J.

The pier itself was picked up and washed onto the boardwalk.

The Star Jet roller coaster is still standing, but it's now several hundreds yards out in the ocean.
